I don't remember reading anything about this subject so I apolize now if
I'm covering old territory. I just had a lesson and we were going over
the Poulenc Sonata and he pointed out some misprints in the music.
More specifically, we were looking at the Chester edition. For example,

1st Movement
1) Fourth bar after 2(Chester edition) or M 22. In the clarinet part
The half note tied with an eigth note is a written C, but if you look at
the piano score it's actually and E.

2) Fourth bar after 3(chr. ed.) or M. 30. In the part, it's and A, but in
the piano score, a C Sharp.

3rd Movement
1) eigth bar after 3 or m. 25, the second eigth note in the part is a
written G flat, but in the score an E natural.

Out of curiousity, I wanted to know what people on the list thought of
these misprints? Are these commonly overlooked. Which ones are right? I
was told they have been performed both ways. Does anyone have a
definitive answer to this?
