Klarinet Archive - Posting 000363.txt from 1998/01
From: Matthew Hanson <mchanson@-----.com> Subj: older Selmer "intermediate"clarinets, Evette alto Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 19:15:03 -0500
I am searching for information on the older intermediate wooden
clarinets made by the Selmer company.
I am trying to find stats on
the older Signet 100 and special
-if anything significant other than left hand pinky keys changed along
with the change of the emblem/logo over the years.
Would appreciate any info on the differences between
Buescher 400
Signet 100 (newer and older)
Signet Special (" " " )
Selmer 200
Selmer USA
Bundy all wood
577
I know that a few of the name differences are due to time period, but am
needing bore measurements, wood quality, etc.
Am not thinking of using one as a regular instrument, mind you :)
So I'm not trying to start an arguement.
Also, if anyone knows of which design the Evette by Buffet Alto clarinet
is based on, I would appreciate that info as well. I know nothing of
this particular alto, so design (specifically tenon) info would be nice.
thanks in advance for your help,
Matthew Hanson
