I was a College Sophomore in 1974 and a group of us drove to Cleveland to
hear an all Copland concert. It was my first experience hearing a great
orchestra, let alone the Cleveland Orchestra!!! I still vividly remember
the increadable clarinet solos of Shrifin's on El Salon Mexico and the Third
Symphony. What a humbling yet exciting experience.
