Both cases are discrimination, so I think that I would probably have the
same reaction. I doubt I would boycott the orchestra, but I certainly
would not be pleased with their behavior in this area. I would have to
have all the facts though before I could make a decision like that.
Still, with all the facts pointing to discrimination I would react the
same way in any case.

As far as the comments about the groups with men's and women's only in
the titles I don't see where an argument can be made toward
discrimination in that case. There are plenty of groups around the
country and the world and the majority are open in their hiring policies
so to argue that point would be, in my opinion, simply for the point of
arguing. If that is their choice than go ahead. The only thing that
bothers me is covert discrimination -- but there should be definite
proof before such accusations are made.
