In face of having to pay a big penalty the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra =
took in the female harpist that has played with them for many years =
without being a member of the orchestra. The European Union do not allow =
for discrimination of females and have specifically warned off this =
orchestra and their colleagues in Berlin for their habit of not letting =
in females into their orchestras. Since both Germany and Austria are =
members of the European Union they have to abide to the union's laws.
