Alchohol is merely a disinfectant. It will kill germs but is not suitable
for cleaning out accumulated stuff. If you don't eat anything or drink
anything other than water before playing stuff shouldn't accumulate in the
mouthpiece. Washing the mouthpiece a couple of times a week with room
temperature water and soap should keep it clean. Of course this assumes that
you swab it out after each and every use.
