Thanks for your input on my situation. a little more info: (mostly in
response to Karl) When I tried my friend's moutpiece, it was on my clarinet
with my own reed and ligature(a vandoren V-12 and a Rovner lig). Now, while
trying out my own Morgan mp, I have tried several reeds, ranging from reg
Vandorens, V-12 to even those nasty Ricos I have lying around for marching
band. I have tried sizes between 2 1/2 to 3 1/2. All of them were pretty
consistant with the stuffy tone and lack of response, so I'm pretty sure that
it's not a matter of reeds or setup. After getting both of your responses,
I've decided that I'm going to send my mp back and reorder a new one. Then
I'll take it and maybe get an appointment with Clark Fobes and compare the mps
and get the best one. Thanks you both for helping me =) I'll update you on my
decision when I reach it =)
