I am starting to play the Leslie Bassett Soliloquies in preparation for =
competitions and recitals this spring. I have encountered a couple of =
notational things that I need some help interpreting.

The first deals will all of the trills in the piece. Every trill that =
doesn't have a destination note written with it is supposed to be a =
resonance trill (tr. with reson. written over it.). Does anybody know =
what this refers to? They are all over the piece and I am clueless.

The second thing is a little circle over the last note of the second =
movement. If I were a string player, I would play a natural harmonic on =
the E-String. Obviously, on a clarinet, we can't touch a string half =
way to make a harmonic pop out. Does anybody out there know what this =
refers to?

I hope everybody is having a good holiday and thanks in advance for any =
light you may shed on this matter.
