I've heard a lot of people make the comment that they reuse the reeds you
just tried for someone else to try after you. At the risk of pointing out
the obvious, how many people do you suppose have tried out those same reeds
*before* you?

I too have been to the Vandoren store in Paris. I was there about
three summers ago and I when I tried out the reeds I had my own private
room.
There were others there playing every concerto known to man LOL but I was
alone trying them. I went though all 40 or so reeds and found two that
worked. It was only 2 dollars a reed. US dollars. Not bad considering
that
you went through 4 to five boxes of reeds and found two.lol(thats why i
dont
play on vandorens any more) The only thing that I found to be slightly
disturbing is that they reuse the reeds that you just tried for another
person
to try. Slightly gross!
