I too have been to the Vandoren store in Paris. I was there about
three summers ago and I when I tried out the reeds I had my own private room.
There were others there playing every concerto known to man LOL but I was
alone trying them. I went though all 40 or so reeds and found two that
worked. It was only 2 dollars a reed. US dollars. Not bad considering that
you went through 4 to five boxes of reeds and found two.lol(thats why i dont
play on vandorens any more) The only thing that I found to be slightly
disturbing is that they reuse the reeds that you just tried for another person
to try. Slightly gross!
