Good question.....depends entirely on the maker...skill, quality cane,
etc. Generally, After all the curing, sanding, preparing and initial
cutting and adjusting, one hour per reed is not unusual. You get duds,
but less of them if you are good and the cane is of high quality. If you
are making them from a tube and the tube is good, you are quite likely to
get all good reeds.
