I have had braces myself. I didn't have any troubles with my playing. It
did take a little getting used to and I usually wasn't able to play
comfortably for a day or so after having them adjusted. I wore "wax" on the
bottom braces while playing so that they wouldn't cut through the skin of my
lower lip but even after having them for a while I found that I didn't need
that quite so much either.

It won't be long before the braces are off and you won't have to worry about
them anymore! Time will fly.
