A pretty good question.......on my Korg (I have an old AT-1 or
something like that - about 12 years old! with the needle that goes left
and right....not the wave form)....if the needle moves very far left and
right (1/4 of an inch) or more......I get nervous.....especially when
trying a new horn. If it all remains fairly close throughout the scale, I
am happier! 10 Cents is about as far on the tuner as I would want to see
it move before voicing the note becomes problematic. Also, if you have a
reputable craftsman repad and seal the horn, the intonation problems you
encounter above 10 cents often go away!
