Try Morton Gould's Derivations for Clarinet and Jazz ensemble (sax section,
brass, mallets, percussion, piano & bass, I think). Difficult but
rerwarding. Listen to Benny Goodmans recording with the composer conducting
on old Columbia recording, probably remasterd on CD.
