Big thanks to you, Mr. Lytthans; I really appreciate you printing that
article...I am a performance major, but my studies have taken up so much
time that I've neve had a chance to look into health plans, etc. I wasn't
sure if that was provided in the job.

I do fear becoming a 'starving artist', so to speak...but not too much. I
had always assumed if I joined a professional symphony, I wouldn't make
much more than 60k a year...but after reading the numbers you posted and
doing the math...I think I'll be just fine!

By the way, does anyone know what the going salary is for professional
symphonies/bands in Europe? (Do they have prof. bands in Eur.? The only
one I know of here is in Dallas...) I'd love to return to England where I
grew up, and perform there, if possible...
