I gota hold of a credit card metronome. It is a Seiko DM20 (I think
they are still sold!), and it has quite a few features. It isn't fancy,
the BPM ranges from 30 to 250, and it subdivides eighths, eighth triplets,
and sixteenths, and it beats out measures from 1 beat per meassure to 7.
I got it for about $10 used, but the person who sold it to me said it cost
$20-$25 new. If all you are looking for is a metronome that can
subdivide, then this might be what you are looking for. It also has a
tuning feature -- the 'nome will play A440 (in the electronic buzz we've
all come to know and love!!); I've had a lot of success with it!
