I believe that anything that can be played either as a polka, waltz, or
a combination of the two, is a piece of music. Anyone who plays a piece
of music, as defined above, is playing either music or musaak. If a
performer or composer truely believes in what he or she is doing, with
passion, then the result is music.
If passion is not involved, for instance: if a performer plays solely
for the sake of money and fame, and doesn't believe in what he's doing,
then the result is not music.
At least, that's what I would like to believe.
