That's just it, though. I've never bitten through one of my patches.
The only reason I ever replace them is when I decide to give my
mouthpiece a bath and cleanse it of calcium build-up and such. Then
I take off the patch, clean the beak, dry it off, and and apply a
new one. Once every 6 months, maximum.
