What does this instrument's existance have to do with Ricardo? So far, I have
seen no posts regarding individual b-flat bassetts in PRIVATE hands. If you're
so upset, write to Mr. Levine! It seems that if the opera houses of Europe are
paying for the damn things, then blaming Ricardo for not using one is quite
unfair!

Of course, one of the reasons Ricardo is in a position to play the solo in
question is because he doesn't spend all his time responding to the crap other
people might choose to think or say about him! That doesn't mean he doesn't
see what's written here, of course. . .
