No offense meant here, but if you write something....perhaps ask a simple
question, that someone else answers and then they add an opinion or
comment, people will (and should feel free) to make observations and state
opinions about either post, etc. freely and without attack. That's the
purpose of the listserv. If you don't want to be part of that forum,
either don't post, or don't particiapte in the list. Frankly, the
arguments did not stem from your post asking for information, they stemmed
from Edmund White's post regarding altissimo g for Eb contra-alto
clarinet. It is neither sad, nor is it happy....it just is.....
