I agree with you in a way, Neil, about the hammer virtuoso idea. Music to
me is the product of thought, not just someone belting out notes in a
pattern (or not in a pattern). I could sit down right now at a given
instrument, and play this instrument by pressing the right buttons, using
air, etc. I feel that if no thought or purposeful playing is utilized,
that this may not be music. These questions of music is one that is quite
subjective, and unique to each person.

If anyone knows of another mailing list dealing with the philosophy of
music, please let me know! I am quite interested with discussions like
these, but I realize that they are quite beyond the scope of this
listserv, to other subscriber's tastes.

P.S.-- Louis, I hope that all of that Base-64 "junk" that was on the end
