Ryan,
Are you associating the piece with something. I don't think there is
any reason (that I can think of) that would make you feel sick. This would
lead me to believe that it is an association or something stressfull about
the piece. I have felt this myself. I once had to play the Holst
2nd Suite in F - second movment
Song Without Words (I'll love my love) after I had lost someone that I had
loved very much. This was difficult. One year at band camp I had to help
a camper who had experienced a recent loss when the group was playing
"Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight". Every person that loves music I
think knows of times that music becomes purely emotional. There are these
times and then there is the situation of lots of black notes....looming concert...
can't play it yet stress that falls on people which can make a person feel
sick also. This is the only thing I could think of. I don't know if
either of these things applies to the Reed you are working on but I would
do some soul serching and see if it that the sickness comes from a feeling
you have.
