I wish this were true, but Clark is no longer a member of Klarinet.
Whether publicly or otherwise (I never saw any posts to the list,
so I assume it was some private affair), some other member of the
list was apparently unwilling to accept that Clark could hold an
opposite opinion as strongly as this member held his own. Whoever
it was, they succeeded in alienating Clark to the point of driving
him off of the forum. We all know that Clark has been a seasoned
performer and repairman for over 25 years, designing top quality
barrels and mouthpieces, working with artists as diverse as Eddie
Daniels and Stanley Drucker, performing with the San Francsico
Symphony, Opera, and Ballet. Dan, feel free to add to this. I know
your association with him has been longer than mine. At any rate, it's
difficult to understand why any discussion would be taken to the level
of denying the validity of Clark's position on a clarinet-related
subject, regardless of how strongly one might want to defend their own.
People can agree to disagree and get on with things. Unfortunately,
Clark was offended to the point of unsubscribing, and I'm sorry about
his departure.

Neil
