I don't know how "available" they are, but I believe that Leblanc, Buffet,
and Selmer all have them in their catalogs.

Subject: bassets

Basset clarinets are not readily availabe _AFAIK_...I could very well be
wrong. A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of hearing David
Schifrin play the Mozart on a basset clarinet which was specially made for
him by Leonard Gullota. I don't know if the big name manufacturers make
'em though...(LeBlanc does the good ol' basset HORNS, though...)
(Side note...after hearing the Mozart live, it makes me wanna do it for my
senior recital. However, mentioning such a thing to my instructor...well,
it could mean certain death!)
