Last year there were discounts on American Airlines when we went to
Lubbock,Tx. Clarinetfest was wonderful with excellent solos and groups
from 8AM to 10PM with time out for dinner.
For those of you hoping to hear Ricardo Morales Saturday on Public Radio
performing in Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito",he is very young.In 1993 at
the age of 21 he was appointed principal clarinet of the Metropolitan
Opera Orchestra. I talked with him at Clarinetfest.Being able to meet
and converse with so many wonderful clarinetists was part of the fun.
