Roger,

In response to your last posting concerning bass clarinet to Bb soprano
clarinet: I have talked to a few clarinetists who frequently double on
these instruments, and they have said the _exact_ same thing you did. The
embouchure should not change, and if there are problems it lies with the
position of the tongue. Well stated!
