I'd just remind you again that the comments were in jest. By no means
was the contrabass clarinet player being put down, and she was laughing
with us. For many of the audience members, however, it would be their
first time hearing such a thing.

This guy had to be one of the best conductors I've had -- a real
comedian. But comedy made him enjoyable to work with. Having a stiff
in front of you for eight hours a day for a weekend is not a good thing
at all!
