Subj: Regular Repair Check-ups -- Are they needed?
Date: Sat, 29 Nov 1997 17:02:49 -0500

I've had a Yamaha Intermediate Clarinet for about 2 years now. I must
say that this has been a most reliable, effective, and overall terrific
instrument!!
My question is, should I be gettting regular repair checks? My teacher
is a master repairman, but he really hasn't mentioned the subject to
me. I bought it new, and in the time I have owned it, I've had zero
work done on it. I check periodically to see if everything is working
correctly, and play the chromatic scale full range to test for any
fallacies with notes not responding, etc, but should I take it in for
regular maintence, or wait until something is wrong?
