I just finished a recording and heard the same thing. It could be the
heads of the player. I was also informed that the middle of the line
mics. will distort music sooner. most middle of the line mics. are made
to record the voice. I was told that a mic. that will not do this may
cost up to $500. If you can try to go professional. I know that money
is tight for many of us, but, sometimes a studio will offer cut rates
for students./
