Thanks very much for the info - I gave it whirl! I'd certainly
be interested in more sites you know of - whenever you do have
some time to assemble them together for us.

OK, I'm breaking down and joining this thread. I sympathize
with those
people
who are losing their classical radio stations. I also would
like to
acknowledge
that most of us don't live in places where there are local radio
listings
to check.

However, there are other ways to hear broadcasts of classical
music.
Satellite radio
isn't here yet, but internet radio is. Try this URL out:

http://www.classicalinsites.com/wqxr/

That and the RealAudio player will get you live classical
broadcasts from
WQXR
in New York City ("the most listened to classical radio station
in the
United States).
Bounce up a step in the URL to www.classicalinsites.com and you
may find a bunch of other stuff of interest to classical music.

For the RealAudio player, go to http://www.realaudio.com

If I had a little more time right now, I'd list some of the
other internet
sources for listening to classical music
and what RealAudio is about, but I don't so I'll have to say
goodbye for
now.

Should be nationwide. At least anywhere that still has Classical
FM Radio.
