La Voz and Mitchell Lurie boxes, at least, do say "Manufactured and
distributed by Rico International" right on the box. But "stigmatized" is
such a strong word. Just like V-12's are different from Vandoren Classique
reeds, the different Rico products have different cuts, different
selectivity of reed material, etc. To avoid them because you don't like
standard Ricos is like avoiding Cadillacs because you don't like Chevys.
