Hi Kelli,

You might e-mail the department for international affairs of the Hogeschool
der Kunsten (School for Arts) Utrecht... I have there e-mail adres:
biz@-----.nl
They can probably tell you more about possebilities of studying in the
Netherlands at their school. I have attended that school, and it is a very
good conservatory,
I hope they can give you more information!
Success (and tell me what your plans are, and when you'll visit our tiny
country!)

cheers!

|
| Dear Jeroen,
|
| I took your address from the "klarinet" mailing list and I hope you
| don't mind me e-mailing you privately. I hope you can help me some
| information about a Dutch clarinet player / teacher called Reinier
| Hogerheyjde (not sure if that's the correct spelling of his last name).
| As far as I know he teaches at Groningen and Utrecht universities.
| After Christmas I am attending a summer school here in Australia at
| which he is taking masterclasses etc.
|
| I have heard him play and give masterclasses a few times in recent years
| and have been impressed by both. Next year I am hoping to go to Europe
| and study clarinet somehow, so now I'm looking for ways to do this and
| who to study with. I have been playing in Army bands here for about 13
| years but I want to do something different.
|
| Any information you have would be greatly appreciated, both on Mr
| Hogerheyjde and studying in the Netherlands in general. Many
| Australians are studying in Amsterdam etc (not just clarinet players)
| and it seems like there is much on offer there. Do you know who are the
| teachers in other major centres? (I know Walter Boeykens is one as a
| friend is studying with him).
|
| Thanks for your help,
|
| Kelli

|
| PS. I sent this message to you a while ago, but perhaps you didn't
| receive it? (I know you are busy with cracked clarinets etc!) I am
| interested to know about the Amsterdam Wind Orchestra - is it a
| professional group?
|
| PPS. I've only just realised I had the wrong e-mail address for you - so
| I'm trying this for the third time now! I hope it reaches you.
|
| Thanks for any help you can give me.
|
| Kelli
