I have read nearly 150 posts in the Klarinet archive relating to
Greenline clarinets. Your comment:

"I have stopped recommending the standard R-13 Buffet ...
rather, the Greenline R-13 has been purchased by several of my
students ..... with tremendous results!"

was one of many that convinced me to buy a Greenline.

I wonder if you can provide some further information?

- Do you have any advice on a "break in" proceedure or tips for care
of the instrument? I've been told that the Greenline never needed
bore oil, but the service tech at the dealer called Buffet and was
told that it should be oiled.

- Is there a mouthpiece that your students gravitate toward? I'd
lean toward a medium to long relatively open facing to target playing
in the community band and dixieland styles. In the space of 1 day
(the day I bought the Greenline) I've gone from playing chronically
sharp to barely up to pitch (especially around the altissimo f & g).
There seems to be an undercurrent of discussion indicating that the
R-13 is designed for mouthpieces with a shorter bore, and that the
Vandoren 13 series tends to play flat.

- Woodwind and Brasswind advertises their "six point custom
adjustment" for R-13s purchased from them. This includes lowering
the ring keys. Are these adjustments that your students typically
have done?
