The same happened here in Philadelphia... The classical station sold out
to rock, but fortunately combined with a university jazz station. They
play classical from 6:00 am to 6:00 PM and jazz the rest of the time. I am
happy to get both of my favorites but miss the choice of which one I want
to listen to. I also didn't remember the day that the station was going
to switch over, but after leaving some previous nights Beethoven cranked up
on my car stereo, I was blown away the next morning when I turned on the
car and a horrid guitar solo plastered my ears to the rear windshield. If
a classical station can't make it in a big city like Philly, what's next?!!
