Subj: Classical stations gone

Same thing happened in Phila., Pa. a few months ago. then a jazz station started
broadcasting classical during the day, and jazz at night. Maybe another station
will take over (on a different frequency). I have, and like the real audio over
the internet. The quality is fair, but the selection is great. They now have a
program add on called IQ that enhances the Real Audio sound. Hey, it's better
then nothing. I get to listen to WFMT from Phila!

Subject: A sad day in Detroit
I am listening at this moment to the final few minutes of WQRS as
a classical station. Detroit, one of the 10 largest radio
audiences in the U.S., is now without a classical radio station.
The reason was lack of a long-term advertisers. The station was
making money, just not enough. It is now (2 minutes after I started
this letter) yet another rock station.
