Mr. Cohler--

Having listened to ALL of your recordings, and considering the criteria that you
set forth, I would like to suggest the Kurpinski Concerto. The one drawback is
that the piece is approximately 13 minutes--but because of its sectional nature,
it can be edited down.

This concerto is a single movement concerto with three definitive sections. In
some respects, it is reminicent of Weber, but does look forward. Obviously,
there are the technical passages, and a cadenza that is a page in itself, but
there is are sections that can considered schmaltz and folk-like in nature. The
publisher is PWM of Poland.
