Hello all!

The packages Vandoren tradional (French cut) reeds comes along with a inlay
(chart) about the American R-13 moutpieces by vandoren. I myself plays a
Vandoren B40 mpc. I want to know what the difference is between my B40 and
the corresponding serie-13 Vandoren mouthpiece. They (Vandoren) says, that
the serie 13 mpc's are made for pitch 440 Hz., but does this mean, that the
mpc is only a bit longer than the B40 (pitch 442?) mpc.? Therefor all the
other characteristics should be the same ( as tip-opening, etc.)?
Please, could someone tells me more about this, because, if the serie-13
mpc's have the result that the pitch will lower (a bit), than I am very
interested in buying them. They are not available here, so I have to order
them in theParis or in the US...

(About the cracque Elite Bb Buffet Crampon clarinet of mine: next week it
will be glued, after that - when I have more time and not so many concerts
- I am offered to come to the Buffet Crampon factory in Paris, where they
will make (in just 2 hours time) a new joint with my old keywork, and also
make it corresponding to the old joints, i.e.: same # in the instrument.
Well, it's a six hour drive (by car) and one night in Paris, well, that is
OK, ain't it?) Normal procedure is, that they send your entire instrument
to Paris and after one month you'll get it back. During that time you will
not get a instrument to play on. (When I have something with my Ford, I
always get onother Ford to drive in, when mine is being fixed! they call
it: service!). It looks like I have a little bit of luck: its probably
under warrenty...)

Hope someone knows more about this...

cheers!
