I have a hard copy of last year's McKinley Internet Directory which lists
severasl newsgroups (not mailing lists) for education. The following might be
of interest if they're still operational:

k12.ed.music
Music and Performing Arts curriculum i `n k-12 education

sci.edu
The science of education

misc.education. multimedia
Multimedia for education.

I subscribed to a couple of newsgroups,at one time, but the level of
discussion was deplorable. I couldn't believe teachers had time prattle on, in
that way! Still such groups can change very quickly and I hope you will find
something helpful.
