My understanding is that the RC is THE standard instrument in non-German
system Europe; the R13 is infrequently seen there. The chart (which I
don't have in front of me right now) showed a smaller bore, which was
consistent with what a Japanese friend of mine always said about his RC's;
nice resistance and warm sound, but softer upper range of dynamics.
