Mark,
I too am amazed at the breadth of knowledge from the various
people on this list. The "isolators and maskers" you refer to, thought,
remind me of the comedy bit that Garrison Keillor had quite a few years
ago on Prairie Home Companion where the "Mistake Retractor" (I don't
remember the exact term) deleted out the squeaks from a clarinet solo
performance. The end solo was just a few notes, ending on a (f) tonic
chord. I realize that this probably doesn't sound too funny to read
about, but was hilarious to actually hear. Does anyone have a recording
of that bit? It's not on any of the previous compilations I have heard
from Prairie Home Companion?
