Note that material alone does not make a mouthpiece. I have an O'Brien OB*
myself, but seldom use it any more. While it has a nice (pardon the pun)
clear tone in the upper registers, its chalumeau is very weak. Opening is
similar to a Selmer HS*. I have also tried a more open version, but it had
the same weak low register. (Insert standard caveat about individual
mouthpiece preferences here.)
