Subj: Recording - How about the Mic's on Tuners?

The discussion of mic's and recording started me wondering how this
relates to the accuracy of tuners. My Quik Tune would jump all over
its scale on the altissimo notes. When I put the (cheap) mic that
came with the Sound Blaster on the Quik Tune it settled down a lot.

Now I wonder what its hearing, and if it makes sense to use a tuner
for the high notes. The tuner also seems to have some trouble
hearing the low e & f.
