couple
| of things he said
| that I thought would be of interest to this forum were:

| - Vandoren plans to halt production of crystal mouthpieces. He said the
| volatile nature of the
| crystal is too much of a headache.

| - The cane used in Vandoren reeds comes from Argentina, Spain and France,
not
| only from the Var region of France.
|
| - As mentioned by some readers of this forum, the dimensions of a
particular
| cut of reed (ie
| V12, WhiteMaster, etc) are supposedly the same for every strength. That
is to
| say that a 2 1/2
| is the same thickness as a 4 but the cane is less dense and therefore
plays
| like a 2 1/2.
