The interior is not stained black as the exterior is. Stop oiling your
clarinet bore! Your grace notes will get too slippery!

Why they stain the outside of this beautiful wood escapes me.

Subject: Tom R., I need help

I have a Leblanc Concerto that is one year old, and it is rather
brown in the bore. I started oiling it and have done so 4 times in
the past two weeks, but the color of the bore is still this awful
brown color. My instructor called Brannen today and they said that
Concerto's wood doesn't get treated as well as the Opus and that I
might have just got some "rough" wood. Should I keep oiling the bore
about once a week until the color returns to normal. I am in
Arkansas and the temp and humidity have been going crazy lately,
which is definitely having an effect on the wood. What should I do?
