I realize I'm being a little pedantic, but can you describe the
deposition of the tape on the bore surface? Just a patch? A
narrow strip? Long enough to make one complete circle along the
inner surface? Regardless of amount, I'd be a little timid for
apprehension about the residue upon removal, too. On the other
hand, if the effect is measurable, and the tape residue harm-
less to the function of the bore design, I'd be tempted to use
a little tape as a quick fix if my intonation were just a little
off in a given ensemble (and I didn't have time/money to test
new barrels in the mean time). What do you/others think of
something like this?
