Yes, you will need a separate barrel for both clarinets. Even though one
will appear to fit on both, the interior dimensions are different. You can
get a 64 or larger for the Bb, but 63 seems to be more popular for A. I
have only used the Buffet Moenig barrel, even though all of my horns are
not Buffets. There are other barrels such as Chadash, Pyne and Daniels
that I have not tried or heard any positives or negatives about. I highly
advise that you avoid the plastic "Click" barrel. It was a neat idea, but
poorly made and made my clarinet sound "buzzy".
