David Shifrin has played on his Buffet R-13 for over twenty years. John
Mohler played on his for over 35, I personally have had a new clarinet
every 5 years or so for the past 10 years, but only because my first R-13
that I had played on for over 15 years had cracked and the mechanism had
worn out. Then I decided to upgrade to the Prestige......I don't believe,
if I take care of this horn, that I will ever blow it out.....I don't
believe that they do blow out....but that is a personal opinion!
