When David Shifrin came to our campus in 1990, he played a full recital
which included the Rossini Introduction, Theme and Variations. In the
final movement, he blopped a tongued passage (very minor....but
noticeable), and in the next rest he smacked his lips and grinned wildly
at the audience......the laughter was genuine and fun. One of the best
times we all had at a recital!
