Rich -

I don't have an answer to your specific question, but when I saw where
you're from, I wanted to make a sort of offer for the future. I'm
presently studying at the Liszt Academy in Hungary, researching Hungarian
clarinet literature and performance techniques. I think before my time is
up here (May), I will probably purchase a taragoto - essentially a
Hungarian folk clarinet.

My parents live in Graettinger, IA, which isn't far at all from Spirit
Lake, and I generally come to visit them once a year. If at some point in
the future, you're interested in having a taragoto demonstration for your
classes (and assuming that I can learn to play the thing), I'd be happy to
do a little lecture or something along those lines. Of course, it wouldn't
be any time soon, but I couldn't resist making the offer based on your
geography.

Best of luck -
