I like the Cundy-Bettoney version of the third mvt., however, one of the
pages is rather faded. I don't know whether it was just my copy, or an
inherent problem, but that tiffed me a little.
Other than that, I am very impressed with the edition as a whole, all
movements, and it should serve you well.
I am not sure about any modifications that may have been made as far as
articulation is concerned. I make changes on long tounging runs, but
from the recordings I have heard, the articulation written in consistent
with what is being played.
Concluding, this is a fine edition, in my opinion, but whether or not it
is truly outstanding, I really can't say. I can say that it has worked
very well in the situations I have performed it in.
